With Gunthorpe Primary Academy reception areas completed the brief turned to a reading zone area.
A Charlie and the Chocolate factory theme was required to bring students into the area from the library corridor timeline murals.
Working alongside BRW Solutions, who were implementing reading desk pods with boat shaped book shelves. The C&TCF mural started to take shape as we started to illustrate key scenes from the strory.
Upon entering the lower part of the school the students are greeted with the golden gates of the factory along and the title of the book. Using short sentances from the Roald Dahl text the murals feed into the premise of the story.
A set of double doors and surrounding wall are used to show the view of the chocolate river garden which flows into the Augustus Gloop inside the tube with an Oompa-Loompas holding back Violet Beauregarde and Veruca Salts moments wraps onto a second set of doors with Mike Teavee being saved for the reading pods that were transformed into Wonkavision™ TVs. Behind the reception desk Fusional created a 3D tunnel to highlight the boat ride scene. The final area of the corridor is saved for a ride in the glass elevator.
A busy fun mural design created with all illustrations, 3D elements and artwork being created by Fusional. Definately had some fun with this one...
