Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey, Norwich requested a timeline to run around the back and sides of the science lecture classroom. We reconfigured our popular Science Timeline artwork to create a perfect fit for the space. We added a number of additional requested dates and items and also changed the colours to better match the colours of the school. This added the perfect level of personalisation to ensure the artwork didn't look out of place. All our digital murals are printed to a high standard on a high quality wall vinyl. The mural is laminated with either a matte or gloss overlaminate that creates a tough protective barrier that can be washed down with non abrasive cleaners including anti-bacterial cleaners and in the case of marks made with pens, a cleaning alcohol.

We had to create a series of feature walls that endorsed the Academy’s values and ethos while ensuring the overall feel had a calming effect. We used a series of landscape scenes and utilised the existing wall colours to ensure they didn’t feel out of place and merged seamlessly within its environment. Subsequently, this theme was adopted around the entrance to the academy to create an inspirational feel, and with the addition of LED lighting, gave a bright and vibrant introduction to the academy in an area that was otherwise dark and less inviting. After I had shown her a few examples of this it was all systems go for our attempt. It was a cold night and we called on one of her friends and we set off on a trip to the North Downs. It wasn’t far as we live at the top of the downs but it was a dark trek through the woods. We soon found a great spot to light up. Armed with a metal egg whisk and some medium grade wire wool we set up the shot. Charley chose the position and composition of the shot and I had the honour of being at the fiery centre, spinning the whisk. We had several attempts before the lighter gave up the ghost but achieved this shot with the foreground trees perfectly framing the action. Well done Charley, awesome work!
